Adam Rakovský began his legal carrier as assistant to the Vice-President of the Constitutional Court and entered legal practice in 1999. In 2003, he established his own law office, which gradually adopted the present form through the incorporation of further associates. He has been active in legislation and in the academic sphere (MU in Brno). He specializes in transactions, mergers & acquisitions, public auctions, execution and procedural law in general. He is the author of a prestigious commentary to the Act on Public Auctions published by the C.H. Beck publishing house and dozens of articles in the professional press. He lectures regularly both for lawyers and for the professional public (CCA, health insurance companies, banks).

Richard Merkun has extensive experience in the public sector, especially in tax administration. Since 2001, he has been active as the lawyer, where he has employed his experience in the area of administration of taxes and fees, including their recovery, and concentrates on recovery and administration of claims and enforcement of creditors’ rights in general. He has long been concerned with contract law, real estate transactions and procedural law, especially recovery of claims and exercise of creditors’ rights through court actions, preliminary injunctions, bankruptcy, execution and public auctions. He also specializes in law relating to bills and cheques. He publishes articles in the professional press in these areas.

Martin Uzsák commenced his professional career in the Prague office of the Deloitte consulting company, in the Tax & Legal Department. He has been active as the lawyer since 2001. He is concerned mainly with commercial and corporate law, with emphasis on business companies, mergers & acquisitions, securities and competition law and also published articles in the professional press in these areas. He also has substantial experience in dealing with insolvency and litigations.

Boris Achmedov started his professional career in a law office in Brno. From 2008 to 2014 he served as assistant judge in the chamber for the law of obligations of the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic. Boris specialises especially in the law of obligations and matters of procedure. His other important specialisations are copyright law and IT law.

Jana Šustová started gaining experience at the bar already in the 2nd year of her studies at the Faculty of Law, when she joined the CÍSAŘ, ČEŠKA, SMUTNÝ law office as a paralegal. She eventually became a trainee attorney-at-law there and subsequently, in 2013, she moved to the position of a co-operating attorney-at-law. In her practice, she focuses on the area of litigation, arbitration proceedings and corporate law. Jana has considerable experience also with disputes concerning capital construction projects and she has participated in a number of important insolvency proceedings and transactions concerning disposal of an enterprise or its parts. Besides her activities as attorney-at-law, she also teaches the law of civil procedure at the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague and publishes in professional press.

Luděk Václavek has been an active member of the bar since 2002 and he has co-operated with RAKOVSKÝ & PARTNERS since 2005. Luděk focuses on the area of commercial and corporate law, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, transaction consultancy, restructuring and transformations of corporations, including the financing of such transactions. During his career he participated in acquisitions and transactions for Czech as well as international investors – legal entities, private equity and private clients. He has extensive experience in the area of mergers and other forms of asset consolidation and shares in important domestic companies.
